Healthier School Lunches

Carver High School’s old favorites, such as chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese, remain on most menus but have been overhauled to be healthier. Our chef’s have new recipes lowering sodium in our lunches by an average of 70 milligrams this year. They've added almost a gram of fiber to the average school lunch and decreased fat by more than 70 percent in some entrees by switching from beef to ground turkey.
"The focus for the entire summer has really been on the menu and the improvement of the menu," said Brian Gibbs, who oversees food services for CHS.

Congratulations to Amy's Elementary Lab Project Activity!

School BYOD Policy
As of June 23, 2011, the school will be placing a greater emphasis on Chancellor's BYOD program in Carver High School.

Bring Your Own Device program allows students to bring iPhones, iPads, Blackberry, Droids, or any other SmartPhone or computer device. Instructions on accessing the school's new WIFI Network will be part of new student orientation.
If your child's electronic device is confiscated by a school official, only the PARENT can retrieve the item.  This can only be done on Mondays between the hours of 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM in room 113, the Deans' Office.  Students are expected to comply with this policy and failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.  All electronic devices are to remain home. We need your cooperation in this matter.
